I don't have Grands yet Car but I can give you some really neat ideas.

Nature walks~ Pick leaves and pine cones, and so forth to make neat crafts with them when you return to the house and everything has dried

Teach the how to sew, knit, crochet etc... a leasson they will treasure always. (Daniel sews & Crochets!)

Treasure hunts~ Make a list of things for them to find while you are away from them. The one that fills the list gets a special day with you.

Story Time~ I loved listening to my Gramms tell me about when she was little.

Crafts~ get them interested in some of the crafts you do so they can show you what they have made since your last visit.

Story Round Robin~ this also helps them become creative in thought and helps with school work. Someone begins a story and the next person adds to it. Make it a thinker though!
