I have a cute story to tell you all. When our grandchildren are born, Hack gives each of them a nickname right off the bat..Some of them stick and some of them don't.
The day Michaela (4) was born, Hack decided to call her Little Star. We said it was in keeping with his *Celestial* theme. I started calling Ashleigh Angel Baby and he added Cherub Princess for Gabriella.
Well, Little Star was one of those names that didn't stick. It was quickly replaced with Chaela by me and Chaela Bee from her momma and then various other names. We are big on nicknames in our family, can you tell?
Anyway, we were talking about that over at the farmhouse last time and Chaela was listening to us, and heard that Poppie called her Little Star, So now she is telling everyone her name is Little Star and wants to be called only that..
;D, of course Poppie is thrilled..(and full of himself I might add)

Oh how sweet. We call our (great-neice) Haley Ladybug and it seems to be sticking ;D We call her daddy Jaybird becaue he like to be ***** as a jay bird when he was a baby. We still call him Jaybird he's 23 now.
My sister's daughter Natalie (7) is Nattie-pooh to me, Don and Mother.

I am big with nicknames in our family. Grandparents do call Elizabeth -Lizzy and Daniel -Danny though. Also one Grandpa is calling Daniel - DJ. With Seth I created a nickname that he won't let me use anymore. I called him "Sethie" when he was young. His sister has picked it up and now uses it to annoy him. Ahh brother and sisterly love....
