My granddaughter, Ashleigh, age fifteen, just discovered karate. She has only been in it a short time, and had just a few lessons but soon she will be testing for her yellow belt. I am very proud of her.

WTG Ashleigh! ;D I think that is terrific Car! Not only is it great exercise, but I like the fact that she is learning how to protect herself too. Jack used to compete in his younger days and also taught. He said he loved teaching kids rather than adults as they were much more receptive.

I have a feeling Deed, that Ash will NOT need karate to protect herself. LOL She is that kind of gal.

Ooooh! Wow! Good for Ashleigh! You must be so proud Carolyn! ...you know Patrick took some karate coarses last year and also when he was in kindergarden...it was his choice. lol I thought he was so cute and he took it so seriously. But last year he did a few weeks and he stopped....actually, he was always running around the gym and not listening, so we didn't insist for him to stay....maybe later he will tak it again...he's only 8... Again, WTG Ashleigh!!!!
