Doug has been quite chatty lately.

He's getting a bit more freedom now, and can call us on his cell phone (thank goodness we have free cell to cell, free nights and weekends).

They changed his MOS (job title) today. He won't be working on airplane engines, but rather working on airplane main frames. He says he's ok with that (not like he has any choice). But it might mean that he won't get to come home at Christmas after all.

His roommate is a guy that was in his bootcamp plattoon, and one of the guys just down the hall, is from Rushville, IL- not far from us at all.

I ordered him a laptop computer yesterday, sure hope they get is sent right. The guy on the phone seemed to have a bit of trouble with the on base address.

Denise, I'm so glad you can talk to him regularly without it costing much. It must not be easy for you having him away like this. I hope he gets that lap top with no troubles. He's lucky to have caring mom like you. (((hugs)))
