What was my dad thinking? We have heat warnings in place. . . heat index of over 110, temps at 99. . . .I took mom to the doctor and shopping. . we get home and dad is stuck outside in the blazing sun. He couldn't get the door open while on his electric chair. . and so was stranded on the deck. He was red in the face. . . hot, unable to talk. . .
Darn it all. . and I just convinced my mom to travel to PA in Aug. to see her sister!

That is no good Denise. He will have to go everywhere with a hat, sunscreen and a drink.

Well, at least he had on a hat-- but was unable to get to anything to drink.
Now I'm terrified to leave on vacation-- what if he does this while all the sub-caregivers are at work?

That is understandable. I hope someone has an idea that might help.
