My aunt Francine is going to her end of the year dance. The theme is summer... I picked her up at 3 pm after her day and she stayed with us for supper~I ordered pizza to make it special...she loves pizza. I just finished giving her a bath & washing her hair. I still got to clip her toe and hand nails....sigh...where she lives, the lady *never* does it--and she is paid ALOT to keep her. rrr anyways..she is moving soon. So if you're wondering where I am this evening, I'll be dancing ( a bit) with Francine's gang!

I'm back from the dance! Pierre went for the last hour. It was fun, Francine danced and had fun, but she was often looking by the window for Pierre...lol...she LOVES him! I took pictures with our new camera and Pierre is supposed to take a few too. When he gets home, I'll ask him to post some pictures. You know....I was sitting there for a while, watching them all dance, sing, waving their hands in the air....it just reaches my soul...my heart...It's so beautiful to see these precious angels...they could have so much to be depressed about...with their different handicaps, but they are happy, really happy.... Their hearts are pure. Life is beautiful to them....I feel lucky to be able to be often with them...they give me so much love and I don't even ask for it....hugs, smiles, nice hellos, how are yous...I feel like a princess when I go there. Everyone greets me with joy....always with touching joy.

Your heart would have been touched like lightening, Ellise. It just feels you up with love.... ....Well, imagine that Pierre phoned me to tell me I *filmed* them....He took a few pictures. I just don't know how this digital camera works! So, maybe it's a good thing....if I did it right, you will see them dancing with the music...

I will post pictures tomorrow, Ellise. Pierre got home too late last night and today he has been in Daniel's school since 10 am. They are getting ready for Daniel's play this evening. Ellise, you have worked with children with Autism...? Was it for volunteer or your work? I'd love to hear about it.

Lucie, I have a degree in working with Autistic and blind children. My first substitute job was with Pre-K exceptional children, and I fell in love with these kids, (later found out that one of the kids in my class is my DH's cousin she is blind) in NC exceptional children range from one end of the spectrum to the other. Either severely handicap or Academically,Intellectually gifted. Then I went to work while working on my degree at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind. That was the icing on the cake for me, so I specialized in handicap education.
