....and he got the results and they aren't good. He stop breathing 25 times an hour. His doctor told him he needs to have a breathing machine and the governement doesn't help pay for it, apparently. It costs between $1500 and $2300 canadian money.... My father doesn't have this money...he has $8000 of dept, a house not finished being paid and he still has a few months to pay his car.... He is retired and disabled. He just phoned me and he told me he is not feeling well...he said he thinks he's got a cold...he sounded very depressed.... I will find out if there is not a possibility to have it paid for him, since he really needs it. He could die in his sleep. No wonder he never sleeps more than 4 hours in his bed and he continually is tired and is falling asleep everywhere... It makes me so sad. My father has had a very difficult life since his childhood....he deserves better. He worked so hard all his life.... Anyways, I haven't told him yet, but if he can't have it cheaper, we will definately pay it for him.... Life is rough sometimes, isn't it?

Oh Lucie, I am so sorry to hear that your dd has sleep apnea. But with the machine it can really help. Please check into getting help with paying for it. I think here most insurances pay for that type of machine, if it is recommended by the doctor. I know you have a different medical system. Your poor dad, going around so tired. Bless him Lucie, and please let us hear if you find someone to help and also update us . We care.

Thank-you so much Ellise and Carolyn. I really apreciate your concern. My father has no insurance. He is on the government health care and they do not pay for this. But like I said, I am really going to look for help. Just last week, a popular dr. we have here in quebec talked about this on a radio talk show. I am going to write him an email about this and ask him if he knows how my father can get help. I knwo this dr will answer me, because he says he answers his emails on the show. I'll let you know as soon as I got answers. Thanks so much for your prayers. (((hugs)))

(((Lucie)))) Marty flunked his overnight sleep study a few weeks ago too. He got his c-pap machine, but is having difficulty adjusting to sleeping "with the wind blowing in my face".
I hope you find a way to get him his machine.
