I guess we have a few weeks left. I admit I have starting thinking about it again. Slightly anxious, but I guess it won't be too hard to get ds back there and settled with his books. I was thinking about going there overnight for a short break. I guess I should start working on that if I want to go.

If you're driving him there it would be rather nice to stay a night and have a short break, wouldn't it?
It seems a very long time to uni yet. Younger son has organized his subjects, but not eldest. I wait with trepidation for their booklists, then their student dues, then annual parking fee...

Maybe after this week with buying the other kids books, I can concentrate on our trip to uni. I think the details don't ever get done because I have been putting things off lately.
He has got the timetable worked out.

Well today I booked dh a B&B styled motel, hopefully it was a good plan. He can help with seeing if ds's pantry needs cleaning, and help set things up and help with groceries etc. Then shop for other ds's birthday present in the city.

Ds got the key and signed the agreement. They unloaded the stuff into his room and the kitchen pantry was clean. The text books were all there and they bought those.
DS already had packed his stationery and brought it with him. Then they bought the food and took it to his room he even bought a pizza to cook for himself that night. The only thing we misplaced where the towels and he got a couple of cheap chocolate replacement ones before he needed a shower.
So today ds's shopping and home.
I had a delivery of a movie only available in the States, a bit of a tear jerker that I bought through Koorong in Australia. So I watched that by myself and really enjoyed it.

Glad to hear your ds is all organised for another year, and that you were able to enjoy your movie. Was it the sort of thing your dh would prefer not to watch?

I think he would watch it.
I just can't get into movies with everyone here.
When I watched Jamie Oliver 10 days ago, I had a similar problem.

I know just what you mean. Actually, it was a fluke, but no one was around the last time Jamie Oliver was on so I was able to watch in peace! My only criticism is that they showed too much of his face and not enough of his hands - I really wanted to see what he was talking about to understand more of how he was cooking.

Did you watch the English onion soup one Violet?

Hm, I watched most of it - he did things with strawberries, and made a very glam looking roast pork or lamb and vegetable dish. He used balsamic vinegar on the potatoes.

I loved the use of the old fashioned plate for the dessert.
