I found instructions on how to play in an old Australian Family Circle magazine.
"The kids use their feet to toss the hacky sack to each other. Here are a few rules:
1. No hands, except when serving at the beginning of a game.
2. Try not to give knee passes as these tend to go straight to the ground.
3. Don't say "sorry". Everyone makes mistakes, especially when learning."
