Today I had to take 5 of the babies to the vet. I have them eating and putting on weight now without fear of them dying on me, but I knew they needed to be wormed and also they have upper respitory infections, so we needed some antibiotics. So anyway, I have been working on "Snuggles" small crocheted blankets for animals. I am giving them to my vet as I have been going there for almost 20 years and the staff there is the best! I had 4 completed so washed and dryed them last night and took them in today. Every member of the staff that was there came into the exam room to thank me for the "lovely blankets". Even the vet asked me how I made them, so I said I crocheted them but I also knit and sew too and he was shocked! LOL I'm older than him by about 5-10 years so I guess he doesn't know anyone that does these things. Anyway I just wanted to share with you all how great that made me feel. Someone actually appreciates receiving a hand made gift! ;D Oh and I plan on making lots more for them too. I only have about 8 totes of yarn to work through.

That sounds like me when I lived right next to a Woolen Mill. Knitting is very relaxing. Crochet is my favorite though.
Sounds like you had a good day.

The vet's office is blessed. Umm, do you think you have enough yarn??? LOL It's funny but if you asked me that question a couple of weeks ago I would have said "do we EVER have enough yarn?" Now looking at it all (and I'm not too sure I've found it all yet ) I would have to say that it'll do. ROFL

That's so sweet Dee. Joey still loves the red one you made for him. He hides under it when I take him to the vet's LOL

When my husband and I got our first dog together I was at the vets all the time. Had such a big bill there. Then when she got old I didn't know her barking was arthritis, so I am sad about that, although less now. Our current dog is 11 and he is going well.

LOL Chelle, I don't even remember what it looks like! Linda, I'm sorry about your dog. Don't you wish they could talk and tell us what is wrong?
