I made this for my Mom for Christmas. When we were visiting in June she was going through one of my pattern books - Old Time Crochet Made Easy. She liked this shawl. It is called the Women of France shawl. It is adapted from a WW II pattern. American women made these to send to the women in France.

The shawl is lovely, and it never occurred to me people did that during the war. Wow.

We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.
