This looks so easy that even I think I can do it. I am going to search for a hook and some yarn today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=avsiVWVtPYIHow many of you here can crochet? I have always wanted to learn it.

That is fantastic cupcake. ;D
I watched up until she finished her first chain, I am embarrassed to admit I am slow dial up, but hope to go onto broadband soon.
I am a good crocheter but haven't done alot in the last few years. I did a bookmark for a swap, but since I got my glasses have been wanting to do some more. I keep saying I am going to make a bookmark or two for Christmas presents.
I wonder if in France they crochet like Australians or Americans? I will have to explain. It is not actually different, but but trebles in Australia are double crochet in America, and our double crochet is the smaller stitch in America and so it goes.

I'm not so sure about the terms. When I look at any pattern it is a foreign language to me There are knitting lessons on you tube as well. It's alot of fun to browse and see what you can find on there.

Wow, thank you cupcake! That's brilliant - I find it so much easier when I'm shown how to do something.
I can knit, but have never been taught how to crochet. I will sit down here with hook and yarn when the kids aren't hanging over my shoulder and have a go.
Thank you so much for sharing!

Ok my daughter and I watched this video over and over and could not get the very first loop made, we didn't understand it so I went to this video and it helped me. It's a silent video www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRsGeVk073w
