My future DIL is living in a dorm on a VERY limited budget. She cannot have any cooking appliances in her room, but she does have a small refrigerator that she shares with her roommate. There is a microwave 2 floors down in the lounge she can use.
What can she eat?
I got her individual serving size fruit cups, peanut butter, bread, easy mac, ready to heat and serve soup, dry soups. . . . . . .
Any other frugal ideas?

That kind of reminds me of one residential college I looked at with my son recently. It was a catered college though. The uncatered colleges, I heard have a kitchen with lockers to keep food in. I have bought some things for that if he goes in one, a kind of a layby system.
These colleges are on the net.
Apart from that it seems hard.

Baked beans, not sure if you call them that, maybe pork and beans or something like that.

beany weenies, salad bowls, tuna pouches (can she get mayo or mustard packets from the commisary? or when you hit a fast food chain you could ask for some extras ;D) Chicken, ham or turkey in a can (like the tuna) Instant soup mixes, pre cooked rice, pastas, and meat meals( just heat and eat)
I'll think of a few more things I'm sure.
