Thanks ladies. Just got back home. So far this is what I know, yesterday mom & dad spent about 5-6 hours in the ER, they wanted to keep dad, he wouldn't hear of it because their car had to be at the shop for repairs at 8am this morning. They got home around 9 pm and by 11:30 dad was in such pain he had mom call 9-1-1. He wouldn't let her go with him that late so she called me at midnight. Yesterday in the ER they did a cat scan and right now he can have nothing by mouth, hoping to flush that fluid they gave him for the scan out of his system. Then later this afternoon they are going to do an xray. The doctor is also coming back to see him again later today. Right now it is a take a test ------> and wait for results before they go any further. They are keeping him in the hospital with an IV until they know something definitive. He looks awful and mom looks exhausted too. So Jack went early this morning and followed mom to the car repair place then took her to the hospital, I followed a bit later and left my car for mom to use while theirs in the shop. Soon as I know more I will update you all.

Hope he is OK Deed.

Thanks gals. No we know it is another blockage in his bowel, more than likely due to lesions from past surgeries. He also has another hernia, though the doctor said it is small that it shouldn't be the problem but is probably aggravated because of the blockage. Haven't been able to get a hold of mom since she got home from the hospital today. Her phone is busy, she is most likely talking to my other 2 sisters. I tried to call the one that lives here locally and her line is busy too, but then again she has teenagers. LOL Soon as I know more, I'll let you know. Thank you so much for your prayers and good thoughts, they are very appreciated. If you have any problems with the site, you can pm or email me. Also I realise I didn't post today's clue for the Trivia Contest, so either we will do 2 tomorrow or just extend the contest an extra day.

Thank you so much ladies for your prayers and good thoughts, they are very appreciated. Dad came out of surgery and is doing well. The doctor couldn't do it via laporoscopy like he wanted to, so dad has a 5 inch incision across his abdomen and 8 inches up and down! It wasn't a blockage at all, it was a twisted and kinked intestestine that was also very swollen and inflamed. He didn't have to do any resection at all, so that is good. I stayed with my mom that night, and then yesterday for a bit. Got some cleaning done for her and laundry. She stayed home from the hospital yesterday, her legs were so swollen, she couldn't even walk. Dad was okay with that, she just called him a few times. We have to go back whenever the doctor will release him which may be today or tomorrow. Hope it isn't tomorrow as we have a winter storm watch in effect for tonight into tomorrow 6-10 inches of heavy wet snow predicted. If he doesn't get released today, I hope the doc keeps him until Saturday. In the long run it will be much easier on my mom too. Dad is one of the worst patients you have EVER seen. Thank you again ladies, and thank you Car for posting the Trivia Contest.

I think it is wonderful that your Dad knows what it is and had it repaired. Wonderful that your Mom doesn't have to worry about the house so much. Good luck with the storm etc.
