A couple of years ago Carolyn posted a picture of a glass brick with lights in it and a ribbon tied to it. I made so many, hundreds Im sure and made lots of extra cash, in fact I still sell a few even now.
I need another show stopping idea to make some extra cash to be aboe to buy paint to paint before I can put the house up for sale. School starts in a week and I have lots of schools where I can leave one to show and a list for orders.
So calling all you bright ladies and picking your brains for ideas! TIA

You can always buy one can of paint at a time. Do you really need to paint? We painted our downpipes and cover for the electricity box, actually it was done for free by the real estate agent, they offered so many hours of free work. Apart from that we worked on the driveby aspect, ie the garden and cleaning up.

Hi Robin! One of our members, Cindy I think, makes/decorates empty paint cans. I would think you could do lots of things with these and they can be had brand new (no paint in them) at Lowes. I think they would be pretty with a fall floral arrangement in them or a Christmas one. Use one of them as a basket for a themed 'gift basket' I bet you could drill a hole in the bottom/side and add some lights to an arrangement? If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Yup, I'm doing well with the altered paint cans. I sell them anywhere from $10-$15 a piece, depending on where I am selling them. I have seen them sold in speciality gift stores for up to $25 EACH. Un-blieveable! They do very well for me. I want to vary my crafts a bit, so I'm looking for other ideas. Could you post a picture of the glass brick? I would love to see that! Does anyone else have any ideas? Amber

Robin, I take the metal pails the Citronella candles come in (after they are burned) and wash them with hot soapy water, then spray paint them, fill them with little goodies (christmas, birthdays, baby showers etc...) and make them into gifts but I'm sure you could sell them as well.
