Well tomorrow is it, the craft show and I'm still worried that they are calling for rain and of course, it's outdoors. At this point, all I can do is pray for good weather. Here's what I have made and plan on taking: 39 Purses - Various fabrics - John Deere, Denim, Halloween, Autumn, Santa, and Christmas. 18 Knitted Scarves 36 Fabric Gift Bags - assorted sizes 20 Lavender Eye pillows 32 bags of homemade soaps - by Ryan Also about 50 bags of Snowman Poop, Reindeer Repair Kits and Nice Pills (gag type gifts). Here are links to a couple of pictures of one of the Autumn purses. This one has trim that I knitted. They are all lined and have ribbon closures. i14.photobucket.com/albums/a349/paelthom/100_0944.jpg i14.photobucket.com/albums/a349/paelthom/100_0943.jpg The purse looks better than the pics. Just couldn't get good lighting this morning.

Good luck at the sale. I hope the rain holds off for you. Do you have plastic to put over head of your table. I love the purse. Very cute. Let us know how you do and we will be thinking of you.

That purse is beautiful! I love it! Do you sell them online anywhere? They would make great Christmas gifts. I'm praying for no rain tomorrow and for your items to sell! Let us know how the sale goes. Amber

Thanks everyone. Carolyn - I'm picking up some plastic tarp at lunch time today - just in case.
Ampooh - I've never actually sold any of my items before. I've always just given them away with lots of love and hugs.

Craft show was a disaster for me. It was cold and drizzly all day. I had lots of compliments but sold very little. Half the vendors didn't show up and the lookers turnout was really low as well. Lesson learned. I still plan on doing the one in November in another town only because I've already paid for my space. After that, I think I'll stick to making them for friends and just selling them when someone asks for one. I did not sell a single scarf and only sold 2 purses. The gag gifts, soaps and gift bags sold but they didn't bring in much $$. Oh well, I did end up buying a wonderful candle from a very nice lady and enjoyed talking to her. No one sold much at all and we had plenty of time to just stand around and chat.

Pat I'm so sorry you didn't do well at the show. Can you post a few pics of what you have available and maybe some of us would buy them from you. ALso Karen may be able to sell them for you in her B&M store? Just a thought

Thanks Ellise. I appreciate that. I think I will hold off until the Craft show on November 19th and see how it goes.

Pat, your purse is beautiful! I'm sorry, though, that the craft sale didn't go as well as you wished. (((hugs))) I agree with Amber, you should try to sell online. And I'd love to see what you've made. Try to post some more pictures to show us.

To an Australian's eyes, the purse is just beautiful.
My Mum has a friend who did so well in our town with her craft that she has booked her site for next year. She made alot of money. I am not sure but I think she was selling dolls, but I can ask my girls.
Selling online is OK especially since people can use direct debit or money orders and you just post them out.
