I love drawing and art so much but I have put this on hold since college...
Well, yesterday, I went to my first art class in 20 years!
I am learning the techniques to use oil pastels with turbentine (sp)....
How it works is:
~~First you lightly draw what you are planing to do~~I am doing a bucket with flowers in them.
~~Then you start using your oil pastels (looks like children's crayons) and color...
~~Then you use a small paint brush and dip it in turbentine and then you go over what you colored, as if you're painting.
~~It smooths out the colors and blends the different colors you use.
I LOVED IT!!! It's so fun, it's so relaxing, it's making me so happy!
My next coarse is next tuesday~~from 9 to 12 in the morning. It costs me 22$. Not bad, hun?
And what's interesting, it's not a 12 week coarse or somethign like that. So far I have 2 other coarses booked. We plan as we go along when we want to go. We were a group of 6.
3 ladies were doing oil painting, 1 was doing arcylic apinting and my friend and I were doing oil pastels.
Oh, and there is nice soft music playing when we work~~so nice~~!
When I'm finish I'll take a picture to show you! Promise!
