Guess what scrappers...Carolyn is finally getting her scrap supplies organized. I haven't scrapped in months because dh has the room where I scrap torn apart and remodeling it.
My supplies are scattered hither and yon so yesterday I spent the entire day gathering them all and then organizing them in three filing cabinets.
Someday I would love to have the Scrap Rack System to use but that is pretty $$$. My dd got one for her birthday last year and loves it.
Anyway, in the meantime I am using the scrap rack recommended method of orgainzing.
My only problem now is how to stack or where to put the 12x12 sheets of paper. The smaller paper will fit in my file cabinet sideways but if I put in the 12 x 12's they don't fit and get wrinkled.
Any suggestions for me on how you store your larger papers.
I have more work to do in here today but I am so excited. Perhaps soon I can scrap away.

Good for you, Carolyn!!
I have a NaNavigator (scrapping bag on wheels) that I use to take my things to crops... I just keep my 12x12 paper in it all the time though. It fits in there and is safe. I know, I'm not much help!
I have heard of people using the free Priority Mail boxes to store 12x12 paper in. They make a larger size that it fits in and you could cut it like a magazine holder. Not sure how much shelf or desk space you have, but it might be something you could do.
I also have instructions for modifying a regular hanging file folder to fit 12x12 paper. But then you would need a proper place to hang them...
Just some thoughts. Ill let ya know if I think of anything else!

Hi Sher, Thanks and I would love the modification instructions for the hanging file folders. You should see my room now..Woo Hoo. I am almost finished. Have you seen the Scrap Rack..It is awesome. I don't have one but dd Lori does and it is great. I would love to get one but they cost $$$. They teach you to organize your things by Colours, Calendar and ABC's 123's. It looks like it is going to work out great. Then say if your doing a Christmas page, you go to colours and get out your red and green, and go to Calendar and get out your Christmas things and then pick out some lettering from the ABC's. If you would like to see it you can go to www.scraprack.com It is like a huge notebook and displays open out across your desk. It also comes with a handy tote to take to crops so you just remove the things you want to take with you from the notebook and stick them in the tote and off you go. Have you ever been to a scrapbook expo. You gotta go. Last year both my dd's and I went to one in St. Louis. Oh what fun. They have crops, and make and takes, and all kinds of vendors. We are hoping to go to Texas sometime this year for another girlie scrap.

Here is the link showing how to modify the file folders to fit 12x12 papers. organizedscrapbooks.com/article73.htmlI have heard of the Scrap Rack. Sounds like it would work wonderful. I bet you could use alot of their organizing ideas without actually buying it. I have never been to an expo. They have them alot here in Minneapolis, but I've never gone. They sound fun tho!!
