Cloth nappies or diapers are a good way to save a bit of money when you are in a tight spot. I had to give them up on the farm though as we had very little water to wash them in. Mine were terry towelling in a square about 2' wide. I used plastic pants on the outside. When the babies were little I used flannelette with pilcers with velcro on them. People are very clever these days with the ones they sew for themselves. We have talked a little about cloth before on this thread: www.hearthandhome.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=babies&action=display&thread=1124127709
