Today I line dried a small load of washing.
Since it is hard to buy herbs here and also because our grocery doesn't beleive in plastic bags, I ordered my bread and herbs and vegies online. I have been doing it for quite a while now. It saves me carrying an extra four boxes home every fortnight.
The things come from 1 1/2 hours away. The price they charge is made up from the cheapness of the bread. We get drinks as well and because of it the kids eat heaps more fruit than they used to.
The tree on my ticker is not so much a Christmas tree but is for the large pinetree plantation that we and the delivery man pass on our way to and from "town". There is no snow on my ticker to reflect my location as well. Although there is plenty of snow here atm.
Please tell me about your homestead today.

My homestead today is quiet and hoping for recuperation. I had a tumble down the steps and so my leg is swollen and sore. I feel like I have been in an accident. Guess I was of sorts. The weather is overcast, and looking like rain. Dh and I went out to breakfast as the power company had the electric off for an hour to string some new lines. And while I was in the restaurant I actually was chilly.
There won't be alot going on in my house today or in the coming days as I recuperate.
Blessings Everyone!

Quet day here. Weather is overcast and dreary and that's pretty much the way I feel too. Working and being Ryan's taxi driver as usual. I'm still working on the purses in the evenings and hope to be ready for the craft show on 10/22. Seems that I'm struggling with health issues and emotional issues a bit these days. Carolyn, I hope you feel much better really soon. A tumble can be so painful. Hugs to you.

(((HUGS))) ladies.
Dreary and rainy outside. Inside I've got my candles burning (Apple Oatmeal Cookie) Smells like I'm baking.
When I went out to feed and water the horses this morning they were showing off...they would run out of the barn yard, rear up, run some more......almost like they were playing tag and then race back into the barn.....amused me first thing.
I checked on our garden and I've still got to pick a few more tomatoes and then I'll be done with them. The only thing left is the turnips which I'll dig out in a few weeks and the carrots, have to get to those tomorrow afternoon. Oh and some beets...there's more than I thought then. DH will dig it all up this weekend with the tractor and plow/cultivator and it'll be put to bed for the winter.
Busy evening running with kiddos tonight and a meeting.

Lazy hazy day here. It's been sprinkling rain off and on all day, cool temps high is 68°F I have quite a bit I want to get done but just don't want to do it ;D
I did get a lol done this morning now I need to fold and put it away.
Ran to Big Lots they have yarn (fuzzy stuff) on sale $1.99 got Don a pair of lounge pants for $3.00 they are so soft made by Joe Boxer (the guys love that stuff) Looked at Goodwill for long sleeved T's for Daniel but couldn't find any (size wise) so I'll check some other thrift stores in the near future.
Have a blessed day all.
