Homestead happenings ~ October 30

Hi everyone. Happy to say we got our vegie seeds in, better late than never. The girls helped plant okra, winter squash, collard greens and some Flanders poppies for the flower garden.

They can put them in the show if they help look after them.

Mulched the flower bed, used the pea straw I bought with ds the other day.

Managed to finally get the cat wormed last night, which is a relief. Used the paste for kittens and cats.

The day was cut short with dh doing some overtime, but it was productive.

Only laundry going on around here br. Sundays are not very productive days on our homestead. We like to go to church and then take a long drive and see the sites, especially in the Autumn when the leaves change. Today was not such a day. We did go to worship but after that we ate Mexican food at our favorite local place and then dh had to work.

Yes, Sunday is not a good day to be writing about working. You are lucky to be able to go driving. I will get out and around later in the week, I have to think of a nice drive for my Mum's visit.
