This year in our backyard dh has dug up a war medal, a really old coin, an old iron, an axe head, a little poem keepsake, beautiful old bottles. In our first house, we found heaps of bottles, and we have a collection either from there or other places of old jam jars that make good vases, blue castor oil bottles, parts of dolls, old toothpastes, lovely old remedy jars and the list goes on.
Has anything like this happened to you?

The old people used to put their rubbish in the ground in the old days. We dig holes for plants and find things, amazing.

The day before yesterday while dh was under the house looking at our pipes, he found a great saucer or small plate. It is a children's plate from about 1960 or 1950 called Playtime. Our middle daughter loves it. It is great to get some clues at what to look on ebay for sometimes.

At the moment it is in my Nana's kitchen dresser behind glass doors, there is a plate shelf in there.
