We actually have a frame of a chicken coop or chook shed in our backyard, but we are using it for a woodshed, although atm it is a shadehouse/play area as we moved it.

Ellise or Deed's story about the free chickens was very inspiring and I have been thinking about it. I have a bird cage and an old chicken pen. Not sure if they end up more of an expense and whether that matters or not. My kids do see Mum's chickens sometimes, maybe it is different having their own?
