I love these calf domes, haven't seen them before. I saw calves in sheds when I was little and they feed them in there. I don't have any experience with keeping animals warm for the winter except what I read about the pioneers and their barns and sod barns and the big barns in Farmer Boy. Yes, we have lots here in this area. The dairy farmers use them for their calves. Going by certain farms it looks like rows and rows of igloos. lol!

I thought it looked like an igloo too Heather. I was imagining seeing them in the fields and wondering if a penguin might come walking out..LOL

Me too Carolyn, I had not heard of them either. I imagine in the snow igloos would be a good description.

Very popular here too as most farmers around here are dairy farmers too. I have also heard that they use them to keep the calves up off their feet for veal production.
