For just over 3 hours I think. 2 screaming children in pitch black is not good. Fortunately we were all standing in the same room and there was a flashlight within my reach.

I guess they "blew a grid". Everyone south of 6th St in town was in the dark. I saw a huge flash of light, like a house engulfed in flames, out in the middle of nowhere when they flashed on breifly the first time Then it was dark, very dark out in the country on a cloudy night.

The first time we were in bed, so probably didn't notice or getting ready for bed.
