gardentalk was speaking of this place, and it is interesting as I just finished reading Shaker Run. www.shakervillageky.org/

It is interesting the Shakers were in Albany first. This history page is much kinder to them than the novel I read.

I would love to visit, but since gardentalk said it wasn't that much I am inclined to shy away. But here where I live we can drive about 40 minutes to a wonderful group of Amish stores in Amish country. I go as often as I can. They had the best flowers this year. Love love love it...Lynn, hop right in here and second going to Nolts..

Yep, love Nolts. Great place.
We did go over to Shaker Village once, it was okay. I enjoyed the ride over there, pretty countryside.
We also cruised down the Green River (I think that was the name) on a riverboat. Very enjoyable.
