Just a plain white loaf or bagette would cost around 50 cents to make. A bagette in the bakery would run 65-85 cents depending on which bakery you get it from. A regular loaf of white bread would run between 40 to 75 cents depending on which store you buy it from. Plain breads are rather cheap here but when you want speacialty breads like croissants, chocolate bread, etc, it is much higher. One single croissant can cost you 90 cents at the bakery.

I used to buy crossiants frozen. Only four, and haven't ever bought enough for all of us. It was a lunch treat for dh and I.
Chocolate bread is new here. It came in last year, at least in our shop.
