I don't know if I have ever seen one, or if they are available in Australia. I read in an American magazine that you can park one on land as a way to live in the country and thought it was a great idea.

YEs, many people are doing this. They buy their land and as they pay it off, they live like this on it and plan to build later. Or they wander from place to place.
Here in France we have gypsies who live like this in groups and they stay a month or 2 at one place and then they move somewhere else.
