I made this, this week and served it with honey cornbread (a Krusteaz mix--very, very easy and yummy). This beef stew was absolutely the best I have ever made, let alone the best I've ever tasted. My mom enjoyed it, too. It smelled so good, cooking, and the meat was just unbelievably tender. Definitely a keeper!!

It is one of Don's Grandmother's recipes that has been handed down over the generations. As far as I can tell, this recipe is about 6 generationa old!
