I realised when planning dd's party that I will still need to organise a bag for the girls to take home. I live a long way from large shops.

So far I have bought some Disney princess bags on the spur of the moment, there are some cheap shiny paper ones on ebay. I also got an icecream cone holder for the kids to try out at home, no drips. There are ebay stores with more bulk lots of lots of things, but I guess I just need maybe two toys and the rest lollies/candy?

Maybe a balloon? Any suggestions?

I am quite proud that I have partially filled the Disney princess boxes. DH was buying some the other day and I completely forgot about it. Today the girls were outside playing with the hose, and he showed me this great stash that he got from The Warehouse. Usually in Australia that would cost SO much. What a great shop. Not maybe a little toy and I will be set.

What a clever husband. You can see I haven't done this before as the others went to McDonald's, no McDonalds anywhere near here.

We used to go to the Reject Shop or the Dollar Shop (there's an online shop called something like the two dollar shop) and buy bits and pieces, like lip glosses or cute pens, erasers, bracelets, fluffy stuff, just a couple of whatever was cheap of that type of thing, then fill the bags with lollies and a balloon. Again, just whatever could be picked up cheaply.

So I think you've done well, Br.

One thing we used to do a lot was buy a box of Fruit Loops, put them in bowls, have a bunch of string cut to length, and have the kids make necklaces with threaded Fruit Loops. They loved them, and it kept them quiet!!

Well, the party is tomorrow. The treat bags are sitting in a box ready hopefully still sitting flat. I don't know if I have mentioned it before, probably have, they are having pizza and a movie. The friends had a birthday today as well, and the treat bags are different. That is a good start. Totally different parties.
