I'm sorry you may have told me, but do your children go to church functions as a Youth Group, or Sunday School for older ones?
Since moving here the Baptist Church have included our kids in their activities. Tonight they are going to a dinner. They always have a little message etc.
I especially like the Easter program.
Apart from that they go to Christmas Craft with another church.

The youth group was very active when my children were growing up. The did something about every Friday night. They had different activities both at the church building and went other places as well. (skating, bowling, movies etc)
We do have Sunday school at our church for age, cradle thru adults every Sunday morning.
Some churches we have been in also had what they called Junior worship for children, which occurred simulaneously with regular worship. Junior worship was for children aged 3 to 10.
