1 cup crumbled dried bread 1/3 cup milk 1 lb ground beef 1 egg beaten 1 Tbsp minced parsley (optional) 1 small onion, minced salt and pepper to taste
Soak bread in milk until soft, add meat, salt, egg, parsley, and onion. Blend with fingers until smooth, form into patties. Fry until browned on both sides. Serve on buns or with a sauce.
Note: this is the original hamburger recipe, as invented in Hamburg, Germany.
