Strawberry Pie

1 qt. strawberries
1/2 C. confectioners sugar
1 C. water
1/2 to 3/4 C. sugar
2 Tbs. cornstarch.

Combine berries and sugar, let stand for 1 hour.
Crush 1 cup small berries
Cook with 1 cup of water for 2 minutes.
Mix sugar with cornstarch and stir into fruit juice
and cook until thick and clear.
Fill pie shell with whole berries and pour hot mixture over.
Cool in refrigerator.
