Basil vinaigrette
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
In a jar with a tight fitting lid combine all ingredients and shake until
blended.

1/4 head iceberg lettuce, torn to bite size pieces
1/4 head romaine lettuce, torn to bite size pieces
1 large tomato chopped
1 avocado, chopped
thinly sliced red onion
shredded Cheddar cheese
Place all in a large salad bowl and toss with mexican dressing (recipe below)
Mexican Dressing
1/2 cup mild or hot taco sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp. micned fresh parsely
1 tbsp. diced green chiles
1 tsp. minced fresh cilantro
1 tsp. minced fresh oregano or 1/4 tsp. dried
Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake to mix thoroughly. Serve ontop of
salad
Tarragon Dressing
1/2 cup olive oil
3 tbsp. tarragon vinegar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. dijon style mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp. salt
dash pepper
In a ***** top jar with tight fitting lid, combine all ingredients and shake
well to blend. Shake agian to mix before using.
Honey French Dressing
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup honey
1 slice onion
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/3 cup canola oil
In a blemder container, combine all ingredients expcet oil and blend until
smooth. with blender still running slowly pour in oil to blend. cover and chill.
Blue Cheese Dressing
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tbps. vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
dash garlic powder
1/4 cup crumbled bleu cheese
In a bowl Combine sour cream, buttermilk, viengar, sugar, worcestershire, and
garlic pwoder. Mix thouroughly to blend. Stir in crumbled bleu cheese and cover
and chill.
Viniagrette

1 tsp snipped chives
1/2 tsp dried mustard
1/2 tsp crushed dried basil
Blend all in a ***** top jar. Cover and shake well to mix.
Boston Salad Dressing
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup italian salad dressing (bottled)
2 tbsp. mayo
1 tsp. chopped parsley
Mix all togther in a ***** top jar then shake well to blend.
to make boston Salad:
Core two small head of boston bibb lettuce, cut each head in half and place one
half each on salad plates. top with the dressing and sprinkle with shredded
cheddar cheese.
