Next Finished UFO~ This is a set of three pillows made from pre-printed panels...Pictured here are two. The three pillows were in the clearance bin at Wal*mart for a whopping 50 cents. Since one of the panels was damaged at the factory I just used another fabric that matched for backing it. Some stuffing bought on sale and a little thread and voila..three decorative pillows. Frugal, eh? Correction~ These pillow panels were given to me, they are not the ones I got on sale..I just found the sale ones..when I get them sewn up I will post those too.

Alright, I'll show you all what I have been working on. This is a cross stitch I started last winter, first time I picked it up in a long time. I started working on it again last week, but put it down, I have a loooooong ways to go on it yet and I needed some instant gratification. LOL Birds in progress This is what it will look like finished: This one I made in about 3 days of steady stitching. Takes me a long time to do these. I would guess there is at least 25 hours of stitching in this one. One I am working on now. I should be done with this one tonight, maybe tomorrow, depends on how much I work on it tonight. I found out only working with 2 colors goes much faster! Thought I would maybe put this on in a tote bag as an outside pocket maybe? I'm really bad with crafts, I very rarely keep/display what I make. Generally I give them away as gifts or with cross stitch, lots of times I stitch them up and toss them in a bag. I have more upstairs with all the stitching done but I haven't framed them or used them in anything.

Oh Deed!!! Those are pretty. I love the one that is finished!!! That is one of my very favourite scriptures :-) Why don't you get out the finished ones, iron them up, frame them and sell them girlie. People who love this type of thing and either don't stitch or don't have time would buy them I am sure. Hey, how bout selling them on Karen's website..
And miss Melody, I am thinking you will get out those UFO's and finished them up now..especially since your inspired..:-P Hugs

Dee, yep you only see two..LOL. The other one was the one I had to toss the back panel because the hearts were missed printed at the factory..So I used the front, which is the watermelon side and used a matching fabric from my stash to back the third one. The fabric is a different print but has the same colours.

That is a scripture? I didn't know that and the book didn't say so either, usually they do. I'm glad you like them. I should go dig them out huh? First I better clean that sewing room so I don't get swallowed up by something!

Yep Deed, thats a scripture. Gal 5:22-23. Looks like its from the New King James Version of the (NKJV) Bible. I have the NIV version on a card in my bathroom from memorizing it last spring. Only difference between them is mine replaces the word "longsuffering" with "patience". www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=gal%205:22-23;&version=50;

My latest UFO~ This is a cushion I made for my dad's rocker I inherited. It isn't quit finished, as I have made ties for it at the top and side to keep it on the rocker since it is so fluffy..lol. And I have decided I think to make covered buttons for on the back and seat of it. I also am making a seat cushion for my cedar chest in the leftover material which won't have ties but will have the covered buttons.
