thanks Mel. I started to do three when I first did it but thought the cushion was too short for three. Might of put the two closer together. LOL Ok, will put a third on in the middle..thanks.

Carolyn, you'll have to show us a picture when your tree is up for Christmas!

I was taught how to make those things in school, but to me the hardest is just doing it again after many years break and the confidence to use my old machines, and having somewhere to cut material etc.
So to me you are a legend lol.
Also, I didn't realise that gingerbread was a Christmas thing until this year. We don't have gingerbread for Christmas here, although my son did make a gingerbread house for Christmas at school once.
I am so glad you eventually got the other half of your skirt, it is a nice pattern.

Thanks BR. Most of the gingergbread items you find here in the stores are decorated for holiday. I wanted them just plain, as I collect them and leave them out in my dining room all year long. Now I have a local store that carries lots of plain gingers.

I was wondering what the gingerbread doll type thing you finished was, I went back and read the first few pages about the UFOs that I had missed?
I saw a half skirt on ebay as well. There were some cross stitch ones, they cost heaps!

I made and purchased several cute little gingerbread dolls, (stuffed) that can fit in the pockets. I have a ped rack in my dining room that holds lots of little gingers I have picked up at craft shows. Here in the states, gingers are quite the rage with country and primitive decor. I can take pictures of some of my things if you would like to see them.
It seem that tree skirts are pretty pricey no matter where you get them from or what style t hey are. A couple years ago, I bought one made from heavy duty felt, and decorated with mittens and such and it was 50$. Of course I waited until it went on sale after holidays and got it for half price.

I can't think what a ped rack might be, sorry Carolyn. Yes, I would love to see some gingers, when you have time. I was even thrilled that Shrek had one in the movie lol.

My MIL collects gingerbread memorabilia as well. They are mostly Christmasy when I look for them. I have found many that don't have Christmas decor on them (colors, holly, etc) but it was pretty hard to find them for a while. Now its getting easier to find "plain" ones. I would love to see your collection too Carolyn.
