I admire people who are honest and easy going. I can't stand people who are bulldozers, blunt & insensitive, or always in a hurry and trying to make people think they are a big deal. I admire people who really listen to you. I have been thinking about the ones who are in a hurry etc. They sound very corporate. I think I thought I could empathise when we were getting restructured, but who knows what they are thinking? I am so unused to people speaking to me. In this town, the preschool teachers always speaks and when I picked our daughter up this afternoon the childcare nurse smiled at me walking down the footpath or sidewalk and then another Mum as I drove off, she was walking on the same footpath. They weren't anywhere near me so didn't have to. It took so long to adjust to people not speaking and probably just as long to adjust back the other way. Yes, I considered starting my own thread, sorry.

One thing - one personal dream is to go to Hawaii. My Daddy was in the Navy in WW II and Pearl was his home port. He always wanted to go back there, and see it rebuilt, but never got to go. I want to go kind in memory of him.

Wow! Thanks for letting me be MOTW. hmmmm.....let's see....I have so many, but here's a few to get started with: Janette Oke Beth Moore Bess Streeter Aldrich L.M. Montgomery Lynn Austin Liz Curtis Higgs Lori Wick (some of her stuff is just too sappy for me, but I loved Sophie's Choice and Pretense) Francine Rivers Laura Ingalls Wilder Louisa May Alcott Phillip Yancey Dr. James Dobson Robert Morgan (author of Gap Creek, very good book) Tom Hamm Eugenia Price (think I own nearly every book she wrote) Adrianna Trigiani (you have to read her Cherry Holler series!!!!! I absolutely could not put them down. And Queen of the Big Time was one of my all time favs) John Grisham (have a hard time putting those down too) If I think about it long enough, I could probably add that many more to the list. Great question, Cheryl. Thanks for asking. As you can tell, I love to read.

Hi Miss Violet! My favs: lounge in the pool with the kids (gotta work on that tan.... ) putter in the yard and garden love to go to the beach....but my dh and kids hate it. My dh grew up in FL and says he's seen enough sand and water to last him the rest of his life....lol We are only about an hour and half from St. George Island which has a bird sanctuary and a national park. The beach there is gorgeous. And the fresh seafood.....oh...my.....goodness.......yum. We do alot of entertaining in the summer; grilling, making homemade ice cream. I love to sit in the swing on the porch on a warm summer night, sippin' lemonade and listening to the crickets and frogs....watchin' the lightning bugs. So relaxing. Another great question, Miss Violet! Thanks for asking.

That's a hard one, BR. It would probably be a toss up between "Breath of Heaven" and "House of Love".

Rats, I don't think I have heard those. I know she is mainstream now, but mostly I listened to her when I was about 18 or so.
